- Computer contains five basic units:
- Memory
- Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU)
- Input
- Output
- Control
- CPU is the combination of ALU and control
- When CPU is a single IC, it is called microprocessor/MPU
- When CPU is connected to memory and I/O, it is called microcontroller
